Faber sells Practical Cats global rights

Faber has sold international rights to its new edition of T S Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats illustrated by Axel Sheffler.
Countries sold rights to include: US Harcourt Germany: Beltz and Gelberg Norway: Cappelan Damm Sweden: Alfabeta Japan: Hyoronsha and Romania: Humanitas.

The edition was released as part of the publisher’s eightieth anniversary celebrations.

Faber Rights Manager, Archana Rao, said: "It seems befitting that Faber's first Co-edition involves T S Eliot and Axel Scheffler. We've had a wonderful response internationally both to Axel, one of the most loved illustrators and to the timely re-issuing of this classic collection for our 80th anniversary."
